Despite it being Sea Otter Awareness Week, many sea otters remain quite unaware they have feet.
When first told about “feet,” they are often perplexed.
“What are these ‘feet’ you speak of?”

Some are polite and smile, not believing a word they hear.
“Yeah, sure, ‘feet.'”

Others are not so polite and just fell asleep right after they hear, “You have…”
“Oh really? That’s so… zZzZz”

Even more try to hide their ignorance by finding the nearest object and claiming they found their “feet.”
“You mean these delicious things?”

But when they finally look down, amazement ensues.
“I haz feet?!?”

And after amazement, complete and utter joy.
“I haz feet!!!”

During Sea Otter Awareness Week, please take a moment to learn how you can help these furry friends in the wild. Many populations are either threatened or endangered but recent news may show that some groups are recovering.
