A few weeks ago, we exposed the blatant factual lies, deception and misleading statements in a recently released PETA funded film about the Vancouver Aquarium.
Now the Aquarium is taking the filmmaker to court over the numerous false allegations, copyright infringements and contract violations.
The announcement of a lawsuit is great news!
The Vancouver Aquarium is taking an important proactive step to protect its good name as an amazing education, conservation and rescue organization that is working hard to provide the best possible love and care to their animals year round.
They are currently working to remove the video from YouTube, Vimeo and the website where the video is being hosted.
The Vancouver Aquarium said in a statement that “We encourage open discussions about topics related to marine science — those discussions should be grounded in truth and facts.”
The film that was released, was not grounded in either truth or facts. Instead it used the same shockumentary tactics that were employed by BlackFish and other radical animal rights films.
We are confident that truth will prevail and that the Vancouver Aquarium will win, allowing them to continue being the premier aquarium in Canada.
