It’s that time of the year!
Hundreds, yes hundreds, of migrating humpback whales have been spotted along the Atlantic Seaboard of South Africa. Just last weekend, several whale-watchers enjoyed quite the show… a super pod of frolicking humpback whales!
Kieran Donnelly has one of the coolest jobs on the planet. He is a professional drone pilot for Sky Reel. The Cape Town resident managed to capture the incredible footage and posted it to his Instagram below. The super pod was made up of about 60 humpback whales that were feeding about a mile out off Sea Point in Cape Town.
News24 reported that the super pod of humpback whales were feeding on “a gigantic gathering of krill just off the Cape Town coast at Crayfish Factory.” You can read more about the exciting sighting at GrindTV.
