A mystery sea monster washed up on the beach in the Philippines and it’s literally giving us goosebumps.
Not only was the creature huge… but weirdly hairy. The strange sea creature is covered in a lot of long white hair. Many are believing the mysterious animal to be a half-whale/half-polar bear.
Hmmm… we’re thinking this is not a likely combination.
After a deadly earthquake last Sunday, many of the tropical island’s local residents have noticed several of these unusual beasts stranded on the beach.
Surprisingly though, this is not the first time people have gathered on the beach to gawk at such a grizzly creature. In 1924, a similarly mysterious half whale/half polar bear creature washed up on the shore of Margate, South Africa. Locals “lovingly” nicknamed it Trunko.
According to DailyMail, the beast is actually a 20 foot long whale carcass. Local scientists believe the 2,000 kg whale is in an advanced stage of decomposition, which is causing the hairy texture. It is also thought that the whale passed away roughly two weeks ago and was most likely hit by a ship.
Consider this sea monster myth BUSTED.
Sorry it’s not a real sea monster.
