In an attempt to derail a dolphin show at Sea World in Queensland, Australia, animal activists from the group “Justice for Captives” pushed through security guards and demanded dolphin freedom.
The Sea World attendees, however, were not pleased. The arena was packed to the brim with around a thousand people, who very quickly booed away the protesters.
“We were there for a passive action,” expressed one protester. “We expected some hostility, but never that much.”
Over the past few years, Sea World has experienced back lash from a number of animal rights groups. Justice for Captives is just one of these groups, and they equate Sea World to a “cruel aqua prison.”
After four short minutes, the 20 or so Justice for Captives protesters left with their “there’s no excuse for animal abuse” signs hanging low.
