1.The Ocean
Okay, this is the most obvious reason. You get to spend your entire day on a boat in the middle of the ocean. What could be better than that? There’s not much better than breathing in the salty air and realizing that you can’t even see the shore anymore. And no crazy tourists to wreck your enjoyment? two thumbs up.
2. The Clothes
This may seem like a weird reason, but fishing clothes are literally the most comfortable thing in the world. My favorite fishing attire is a bikini and a large button-down Columbia fishing shirt. It’s cute, but also extremely functional due to the large amount of pockets and hooks to hold all of your gadgets and gizmos that you need while fishing. For the guys, you can’t beat bucket hats, t-shirts, and pants with lots of pockets. No need to dress up here!
3. The Bonding

Anytime I get on a boat with friends, we become closer by the time we make it back to the dock. Without all the distractions, you get some uninterrupted quality time. Something about the water makes everyone calm, relaxed, and opens the way for better conversations. So next time you are heading out to sea, bring your friends!
4. The Wildlife

It does not matter what you are fishing for, you are bound to see some kind of cool sea creature whenever you head out to sea. It’s just part of the experience when you leave dry land and start exploring the vast deep blue sea. You could get lucky and see a pod of dolphins chase your boat or a sea turtle trying to swim away from your boat. But even if you don’t, you will definitely see something.
5. The Fish
The whole point of heading out deep sea fishing is to catch some fish. Sometimes you hit a lucky spot in the ocean and can start pulling fish up left and right, which is always exciting. It’s especially exciting when the fish are edible and you can have a huge cookout when you make it home. Whichever way, you’ll end up having fun.
