Earlier this week, a mommy humpback whale almost got stranded on a sandbar in the shallow waters off of Queensland’s North Stradbroke Island. Thankfully, her calf was right in tow and had enough strength to give her a nudge.
Parents hate to admit, but sometimes they need help too! The momma whale can be seen splashing her tail while trying to get unstuck below.
The whale duo worked together to plunge mom back into safety. Of course, we picture the baby humpback saying something like this, “You’re whale-come mom! I learned it from YOUUUU.”
