Are you tired of walking through a winter wonderland? If the winter snow has you down and you’re an ocean lover, the feel of sand between your toes is something that you miss… a lot.
The allure of the sun-soaked beach is especially enticing in these winter months. However, before you’re adventure planning for this summer, you should check out these unique beaches. You can build a sandcastle in some very beautiful colors, not just the plain beige sand that most of us are accustomed to.
1) White Sand Beach
The white sand beaches of Destin are truly pristine and almost blindingly white. Walking out onto the sand is like walking out into the snow… except you are not cold. This one is definitely a nice place to enjoy some sun and ocean spray!
2) Pink Sand Beach
We wear pink on Wednesdays. Honestly, I will wear pink any day that you get to visit this beach on Harbour Island in the Bahamas. Imagine relaxing surrounded by this beautiful pink sand… it sounds like heaven.
3) Red Sand Beach
If you like the bold color red, then head to Santorini and enjoy the deep crimson spread of sand. With rugged cliffs against the deep hues of red of the sand and blue of the ocean, this beach sounds like a symphony of colors that may just blow you away.
4) Black Sand Beach
If your style is more intense, a black sand beach may be more your thing. While Hawaii has some beautiful beaches, Honokalani black sea beach on Maui is a breathtaking place. The volcanic ash led to the dark black beach. It is truly breathtaking because it is so different than anything you’ve ever seen.
5) Sea glass beach
This beach may be the most unique beach. It is a multicolored rainbow of sea glass. Thankfully it is illegal to take, so you can still visit and see the ‘glass beach’ intact.
So, when planning your next beach vacation, keep these places in mind! Because while any beach day is a good day, sometimes it’s so much more refreshing to see something unique.
