This week, temperatures dropped along the entire East Coast and Florida was nooo exception.
The proof?
Well just a mere couple of HUNDRED manatees huddled together in the warmer waters of the Crystal River.
Three Sister Springs shared a video to Facebook that showed a crowded boardwalk full of people trying to catch a glimpse of the sea cows. Just past the roped off area in the water, you can also see several snorkelers attempting to sneak a peek. They joking posted, “If you aren’t here… you should be!”
Why do manatees move to warmer waters? Well, if a manatee stays in water colder than 68 degrees for too long they can become dangerously sick.
