Clover the gray seal is at large once again! She was recently released in Charlestown, RI, at Blue Shutters Beach.
She had been rehabilitated at Mystic Aquarium’s Animal Rescue Clinic, where rescuers spent almost four months treating multiple wounds on the poor seal, and helping her gain weight. Clover was a malnourished pup when she entered the aquarium’s care; so she gained twenty pounds in the care of the aquarium before she was released!
Clover was extremely fortunate to be picked up and rehabilitated by the hardworking team at Mystic, because their rescue clinic is nearly at capacity. Clover is one of many seals to get a second chance thanks to the hardworking rescue team.
The Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut is a non-profit, whose conservation efforts benefit countless animals; and the aquarium offers lots of valuable information and education to those who attend, even offering interactive exhibits.
We’re excited that Mystic Aquarium’s Rescue Clinic has successfully rescued and rehabilitated yet another new patient!
Happy trails, Clover!
