Snow might seem like a nuisance for some, but for six rescued sea otters who live at the Vancouver Aquarium, a snow day is one of the best days of the year!
Tanu, Katmai, Mak, Kunik, Rialto and our favorite little pup Hardy all joined in on the fun. They spent the whole day rolling around in the fluffy white stuff, and we get a treat by being able to watch the action!
“Enrichment sessions are an important part of everyday care for marine mammals living at Vancouver Aquarium,” the aquarium said in a release. “These sessions provide mental and physical stimulation for the animals and strengthen bonds with their trainers.”
But most enrichment sessions don’t actually involve snow since snowfall is relatively uncommon in Vancouver.
