Our oceans are home to some of the most beautiful and colorful creatures on the planet.
And while we think all ocean creatures and species are beautiful in their own way, there is no denying that these fish are not something you see every day. Check em’ out!
Mandarinfish
The Mandarinfish is often confused with the Mandarin Fish, or Chinese Perch. But this small fish belongs to the dragonet family. It’s native to the Pacific Ocean. And it’s bright blue, yellow and orange colors are simply breathtaking!
Meet the Juvenile Emperor Angel Fish
This fish is quite famous, but did you know the juvenile is even more fascinating than adults? Their dark blue bodies have beautiful white rings. Oh la la!
Ever heard of a Lion Fish?
Most people have heard of this venomous fish, but did you know the dangerous dorsal fins are used only for defense? The sting is NOT fatal to humans, but it can cause extreme pain, headaches, vomiting, and difficulty breathing.
Soooo….be sure to adore this fish from a safe distance!
Clown Trigger Fish
Triggerfish can be found in tropical and subtropical waters, but most often in the Indo-Pacific. They’re often found swimming in shallow coastal areas and around coral reefs. Those polka dots are just too cute to handle.
Rainbowfish
You can obviously see where these colorful beauties get their name from. They are mostly found in Australia, New Guinea and Indonesia. These species can also be found in home aquariums as they do very well with other tropical fish. Way to be team players, Rainbowfish!
