Mishka is a polar bear at SeaWorld’s Gold Coast park in Australia. The young female polar bear turned one last month. Her one-year birthday party included presents, treats, toys and a smash cake.
Many people give their one-year-old children a smash cake, so Mishka received one as well. Although her cake was made of watermelon and fish, the concept of cake is an essential part of any birthday party. She really enjoyed the cake and even gave it a “lick of approval.” After glancing at the watermelon candles, she dove face first into the fishy part (apparently the good part if you are a polar bear)!
She celebrated with her mom in their home, the Polar Bear Shores exhibit. Although she recently moved into this habitat, she seems to be really comfortable with all of the ways to play inside it. She really enjoys diving in the pool and checking out the toys at the bottom. She can even interact with guests who are looking up into the bottom of her pool!
Everyone is very happy that she is growing up happy and healthy with her mom, Liya. With the help of SeaWorld staff, she will hopefully enjoy a long and happy life.
