How much do you know about bowhead whales?
Well, get ready to get schooled. The film – A Year in the Life of a Bowhead Whale – shows you everything you’ve ever wondered about their migration.
It’s an animated film available in English, Inupiaq and St.Lawrence Island Yupik narration.
It was produced by the Museum of the North in Fairbanks, Alaska, directed by the museum’s head of digital media, Roger Topp.

- The bowhead whale – Balaena mysticetus – is a dark whale with no dorsal fin.
- It can grow to be 66 feet in length.
- It can weigh up to 74 tons.
