Everyone loves Harry Potter. Everyone loves reef fish. Now watch our worlds collide! If Harry Potter were cast by reef fish and other ocean dwelling animals, we think we know who would be playing who!
Harry Potter… portrayed by the Queen Angelfish
Harry and the Queen Angelfish are both very unique when it comes to their faces. As Harry has his lightning scar that is so recognizable, the Queen Angelfish has a mark above their eyes as well. The fish can grow a decent size and can be rather aggressive towards other Angelfish, showing Harrys aggression towards thou who shall not be named. Although Harry is not a Queen, he is royalty in many of our eyes!
Ron Weasley and the Coral grouper
Besides the obvious similarities between the two, the coral grouper and Ron have more to their story. Both are very protective, one of their reef space and the other of his family. We all know Ron would do anything for his friends and family, and the coral grouper is not afraid to do the same for their “home”.
Hermione Granger and common octopus
Hermione and an Octopus don’t look much alike, I agree. But they are both know it alls. Octopuses are some of the most intelligent creatures in the sea. They can camouflage, blend, hid, change the shapes of their bodies, and ultimately do anything they put their minds too, like Hermione.
Lord Voldemort and Port Jackson shark
Lord Voldemort and Port Jackson Shark. Just look at the two. The resemblance is uncanny. The Port Jackson Shark is nocturnal and every time Lord Voldemort comes around I feel as if its always dark and he is always surrounded by dementors who are feeding.
Albus Dumbledore and the Sting Ray
Although Albus and rays don’t necessarily look alike, they have many of the same skills. Rays mostly docile and can blend in rather well with the surrounding areas. They are peaceful and intelligent. They are not aggressive often, but they do have long spiny tails that contain venom for when they do need to fight off a predator. Sting rays spend majority of their time solo, like Dumbledore.
Severus Snape and the Purple mouth moray eel
Snape a man that appears to be rather dark and scary, but is actually not half-bad. The Purple Mouth Moray eel offers the gloom and dark colors that Snape does, in addition to the rather scary teeth. However, it doesn’t attack unless it is seriously provoked.
Rubeus Hagrid and the sunfish
We all know Hagrid to be HUGE, well if we found his ocean dwelling twin, it’s the sunfish. The sunfish the heaviest known bony fish in the world!! This fish is odd looking and is still a little bit of a mystery to scientists, just like Hagrid is to a lot of Hogwarts.
Draco Malfoy and great barracuda
Malfoy and the great Barracuda. If you have ever swam with a barracuda you know that they lurk around and are curious to what you are doing. Their scary teeth and shiny body resembles Malfoy and his aggressive smirk that he always offers to Harry and his friends. Although the barracuda doesn’t often attack humans, it is still a predatory fish, much like Malfoy.
Fred and George Weasley and the Butterfly fish
Fred and George are always together and up to no good. The butterfly fish often swim in pairs and don’t regularly separate. The bond between the two fish is very similar to these twins. When there is once, the other will soon follow.
