Discovery Channel has been on a roll lately.
Mermaids? Totally real!
Megalodon Sharks? Got one in my backyard.
Discovery Channel is just scraping all pretenses of putting up any real effort into bringing the wondrous universe to its viewers. Instead, they are opting to straight up lie and make crap up. Its next adventure into suckering people into the make believe?
A viscous shark living in Lake Ontario! A fresh water lake…do the math.
Fresh off of documentaries about Mermaids and a living Megalodon, Discovery is back at it with this fiction to promote a spoof “documentary” entitled In Search of Canada’s Rogue Shark. Oh, brought to you by Nissan. So, they are making up a “documentary” to sell cars. Good to know.
There seem to be a lot of fake documentaries popping up – but we’ve covered that.
Not only are unsuspecting people who still believe Discovery Channel is a source for information going to be duped, but it would appear that science as a whole are on the way out in mainstream media.
Shark populations are at risk across the globe. Fear mongering and misinformation have played a historical role in over-fishing and trophy hunting of these apex predators.
Shame on you, Discovery. You should know better, and you should do better.
