Eventually, the sea lions stroll had to come to an end so he could be safely returned to his home in the ocean. Because these animals don’t usually find themselves so far inland, the town looked towards the most well equipped people for the task: dog catchers. The sea lion did not give up on his outing very easily. It was a peculiar sight watching the dog catchers using a stick and bin to try and lure the little guy back to his home.

While this was a special sight for locals and tourists, it did cross people’s minds that it might have waddled into the town in search of food due to human encroachment, overpopulation, or other types of ecological hardship. The sea lion was happily returned to the great blue sea, but people are on the lookout to see if he will return to the little town to show his friends his new favorite vacation spot.
