Over the weekend, Santa was spotted at the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. However, this holly jolly man was not your average Santa. It was SCUBA Santa!
According to a Facebook post by the Aquarium, “SCUBA Santa made his first dive today! If you were not able to stop by, he will return tomorrow from 11 a.m. to noon. SCUBA Santa is included with general admission and FREE for members.”
The aquarium is located in Dubuque, Iowa. If you are interested in seeing the SCUBA Santa, then head over to the aquarium before Christmas! You may be able to catch a glimpse of the jolly man.
While you are at the museum, you can learn more about the iconic river. Everything from the history of human usage and its repercussions to the natural flora and fauna of the river is explained in this museum. You may be surprised by the strong link between the creatures in the Gulf of Mexico and the river. Many species use the river as breeding grounds and as a nutrient source.
