Trashy Christmas Tree, Awesome Message

And when we say trashy we mean that with the upmost respect and admiration!
This holiday season the Vancouver Aquarium partnered with a local artist to educate and inspire visitors while bringing them a little holiday joy.
Pete Clarkson, a park ranger known for using ocean debris as inspiration for his art, built an enormous Christmas tree constructed out of material that volunteers collected from a shore line clean up of the West Coast Trail.
The construction took three days and four tons of trash but the message it leaves with visitors is everlasting.
Mr. Clarkson and the Vancouver Aquarium hope to bring smiles to visitors while reminding them of the impacts our discarded trash has on the ocean and marine life.
