Battle Royale: Shark vs. Eel

Table manners are taught at an early age, but we’re not sure if eels tell their kids how important it is to take small bites and chew your food before swallowing.

At least this guy missed that lesson. The Moray Eel in the video above is hanging out in the reef when a small shark swims by, and the battle begins.

As you can see in the video, the eel gets a grip on the shark and after a lot of struggling, has most of its prey in its mouth.

But then….

Suddenly, the shark is free!

The small shark seems to be a little disoriented as he starts to swim away, and the eel decided enough was enough.

There’s just no such thing as a free lunch.

This video was captured by divers, who you can hear breathing in the background. It’s obvious that they didn’t feel they were in any danger, only thrilled to witness the event!
