Extreme Divers Toast to New Year in Frozen Bay

These divers LOVE the ocean! So much so that they wanted to ring in the New Year under the sea!

Yep, you read that correctly.

Two Russian divers, from the far eastern city of Vladivostok, entered the nearly frozen Shchitovaya Bay in the Ussuriysky Gulf on Saturday afternoon. They dredged through the mud and ice carrying their fir tree and bottle of champagne straight to the bottom.

The water was about negative one degree Celsius but that didn’t stop the adventure seekers from enjoying their celebration.
