Man Swims in Antarctic … in a Speedo??

Swimming the ocean in a speedo is a brave challenge. Swimming in the Antarctic Ocean with bone-chilling temperatures in a speedo? Now that’s bold.

But as you can see in the video above, Lewis Pugh did it!

Mr. Pugh swam the Ross Sea on three occasions with nothing but his Speedo to protect him from the elements. The icy water was 29 degrees Fahrenheit and wind gusts reached 47 miles per hour.

You might be thinking – is this guy insane??

He’s not. And he’s not a daredevil. Pugh’s swim is an attempt to draw attention to the vulnerable ecosystem.

“I’ve never been to a more terrifying place than the Ross Sea,” he said.
