Our New Year’s Resolution for You and Your Oceans
As we say goodbye to 2014 and prepare ourselves for the wonders and surprises that 2015 will bring, we are asking that everyone make a resolution and take a little more time to be conscience of our oceans.
In 2014, we reported on amazing rescues from SeaWorld, the Mystic Aquarium, everyday fishermen and many more organizations and individuals that seek to conserve marine life.

We were also able to share stories that highlighted conservation successes such as the rising population of California blue whales, a rescued whale dancing in the rain at the Vancouver Aquarium and even new educational programs to spread ocean awareness to students nationwide.

These are all heart warming stories that we are proud to share with our readers.
Unfortunately, we also were sad to report on many issues that threaten our awesome ocean and the amazing creatures that inhabit it.
For instance, the amount of trash in our oceans is increasing at an alarming rate and it’s undoubtably affecting marine life.

Even more horrific are the acts that human beings are knowingly committing that negatively impact the ocean and the wildlife within it. Overfishing, illegal fishing and needlessly hunting down marine life are just a few of the heart-breaking situations that we reported on this year.

We are far from naive and realize that all of the ocean’s problems cannot be solved in a year’s time. However, we do believe that passionate people making a difference is an inspiring motivator.
By joining us in sharing amazing conservation and rescue successes, educating your family and friends of the impacts that humans have on our oceans and becoming overall ocean-conscience beings, we can turn the tide and begin moving the state of our oceans in the right direction.
So please, join us in 2015 and help create a brighter future for the ocean and all marine life.
