It’s World Turtle Day!

May 23 is World Turtle Day!

The American Tortoise Rescue has sponsored this event each year since 2000 to inspire respect for turtles and tortoises.

Worldwide, this day is great way to educate on ways we can help turtles survive and thrive.

Some people celebrate by dressing up as turtles or wearing green attire, others by volunteering for rescue and research.
