Q&A: Awesome Ocean Live with Bridgette Pirtle-Davis

On a brand new Awesome Ocean Live, your hosts Eric and Erin interviewed Bridgette Pirtle-Davis, a former SeaWorld Trainer with over 10 years experience working with dolphins, sea lions, otters, belugas and killer whales at SeaWorld.

Bridgette earned notoriety when she left SeaWorld, and followed her ex-coworker John Hargrove to the production of Blackfish, where she provided information, footage, photos, insight and experience to the film. While Bridgette was asked by director Gabriella Cowperthwait to appear on film, Bridgette declined.

When Bridgette finally saw the film premier at Sundance in January 2013, she had a feeling that she had made a huge mistake. A year later Bridgette would partner with Eric and Erin to tell her story about how she was deceived by the filmmakers, and how others were misled during the production of Blackfish.

Since January 2014, Bridgette has been working hard to let the world know the truth about Blackfish and SeaWorld. Bridgette is now a very strong voice in support of SeaWorld and other accredited marine parks.
