Welcome to the world of Ocean Gravity. This is going to blow your mind…

Mind blown, right?

With nothing more than a snorkel, Guillame free dives into a ripping current to capturing the power of the ocean in one of the coolest short films we have ever seen.

Yeah, but how did the idea of “throw myself into a current and see what happens” come about?

Just like free falling, location is key.

Guillame and friend, Julie Gautier, were diving in the Tiputa Pass in Rangiroa, in the Tuamotu Archipelago (French Polynesia), when he was struck with a brilliant idea.

Guillame was going to make an underwater movie that would visually portray a body orbiting a star. To do this he would need to take advantage of the strong current during a rising tide in this region.

With the help of Julie, who happens to be an awesome camera woman, and others on an amazing team, the crew were able to get all of the image they would need in just 3 days.

For Guillame and Julie, the hardest part wasn’t holding their breaths, avoiding getting lost in the current or trying not to freak out…it was trying to avoid all of the fabulous marine life so the images would appear as if they were really in outer space. WILD!

We commend you for the courage and gumption this project required. It is an awe inspiring video that reminds us of the power of the ocean and the amazing things people can accomplish when they put their minds to it.
