The six to seven-month-old seal pups where reported to be dehydrated and had to be rescued from a rock jetty.
The pups will be nursed back to health and returned to the wild.
Pinnipeds include seals and sea lions. Awesome Ocean has a handy info graphic explaining the difference between the two.
Another example of SeaWorld’s continuing rescue work. Their animal care team has rescued, rehabilitated and returned over 24,000 animals to the wild in the past 50 years. Cheers!
