SeaWorld Orlando Is Giving Florida Teachers Free Admission for an Entire Year
Florida teachers have a pretty good excuse to spend a little more time with dolphins, sharks and sea turtles this school year.
SeaWorld Orlando is once again offering free admission to eligible Florida teachers, giving certified K-12 classroom educators unlimited visits to the park through Sept. 2, 2027.
The offer comes through the SeaWorld Florida Teacher Card program, which the park has continued as a way of recognizing educators while giving them access to many of the animals, exhibits and educational experiences found throughout SeaWorld.
“Teachers play a critical role in shaping future generations, and SeaWorld Orlando is honored to support their efforts by providing opportunities to connect learning with real-world experiences,” SeaWorld Orlando Park President Brad Gilmour said in announcing the program. “We hope educators will take advantage of all the park has to offer throughout the year.”
Eligible teachers can register online and verify their status to receive a SeaWorld Florida Teacher Card eVoucher. Once activated, the card provides unlimited admission through the beginning of September 2027.
That means the Teacher Card isn’t simply good for a single appreciation day or one weekend at the park. Teachers can return throughout the school year and into next summer.
For educators interested in making it a two-park deal, SeaWorld is also offering the option to add unlimited admission to Aquatica Orlando for $49.99 through Sept. 2, 2027.
There is also a limited-time deal for teachers who want to bring someone along. Eligible educators can purchase up to two guest tickets for $38.99 each, with those tickets required to be purchased and used by Oct. 2.
More Than a Day at the Park
For teachers, the offer also provides access to a place where many of the subjects discussed in a classroom can be seen up close.
SeaWorld Orlando is an accredited zoological institution in addition to being a theme park. Its animal habitats include dolphins, sharks, penguins, sea turtles, manatees and other species, giving educators opportunities to connect subjects like marine biology, animal behavior and conservation with real animals.
The park also operates educational programs specifically for teachers and students, including field trips and classroom resources. SeaWorld says the Teacher Card is intended to help educators extend those learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
Of course, teachers don’t have to turn every visit into a field trip.
The free admission can also simply be used for a day off.
With the card remaining valid for nearly a full year, teachers will have opportunities to visit during SeaWorld’s changing lineup of seasonal events, giving educators plenty of reasons to return throughout the year.
The program is limited to eligible Florida-certified K-12 classroom teachers, and registration is completed online.
For educators who spend most of the year planning lessons, grading assignments and taking care of everyone else’s kids, unlimited trips to see a few sharks and dolphins doesn’t sound like a bad teacher appreciation gift.
Especially when admission is on the house.
