An update to a story we shared in February about PETA’s Animal Shelter of Horrors.
Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe signed a bill into law this week that’s intended to end PETA’s practice of operating an animal shelter with a kill-rate between 86% to 90%.
From 1998 to 2013, public records show Virginia shelters operated by the so-called animal rights group killed over 33,000 animals. You can check out the numbers here.
The public outcry was so loud the measure overwhelmingly passed both houses of the Virginia legislature.
PETA’s shocking hypocrisy was even highlighted in a television ad that ran during this year’s Academy Awards.
Check out the story here from The Virginia-Pilot.
Poor animals from the Commonwealth can breathe a sigh of relief – the mass genocide at the hands of PETA is coming to an end. Every animal lover around the world should continue to band together to protect animals from this deadly organization. The only regret is that this law is just too late to save tens of thousands of adoptable pets.
Wonder if an investigation over PETA’s use of “blue juice” will be next?
