Ted. E. Bear the Teddy lay alone on the floor, lost but not forgotten. His plush body gathered dust and dirt from passerbys, no one sure of how to save him.
That’s when Kevin and Sylvia, security officers at Monterey Bay Aquarium, arrived at the scene.
All the tricks were busted out to rescue the forgotten toy which, as the highly-trained security officers knew upon first inspection, belonged to a child who had walked through not long before.
Ted E. Bear, who was quite lonely and forlorn, was given a grand tour of the facilities.
After thoroughly searching the aquarium for his owners, he interned in admissions, helped out with animal care, and even got a seat in the control room.
After everything he’d been through, the staff at Monterey Bay Aquarium knew it’d be best to find his owners and return him safely home.
Ted E. Bear did not leave empty handed. He had his very own nametag made for him and an adorable poem to tell his story.
“Oh me, oh my—I really want to help conserve the great blue sea!
And… being there for my kid is the way for me to fulfill my destiny!”
