The Buffalo Zoo’s two favorite polar bears have been reunited just in time for Valentine’s Day and their ONE year anniversary.
Luna and Sakari were separated in October as “denning” season began so they could have some alone time and personal space for a while. The zoo says that denning season is perfectly normal because polar bears are solitary animals.
But denning season has ended and Luna and Sakari are together once again. Last year the two polar bears had their first date on Valentine’s Day, and now a year later the zoo is recognizing their anniversary this weekend.
Happy Anniversary Luna and Sakari!
